“Fantastical” is Oh Baby! and Que Sera’s owner Mary Lauer’s made-up word for “fantastic” and “magical.” (While it is actually a word, we’re pretty sure that no-one since Shakespeare has used it!) While initially the word may sound slightly strange, having spaces to create and sell clothing, accessories and furniture that are fantastic and magical is truly the mission of both Oh Baby! and Que Será. Children constantly see the world as a magical place and we truly believe adults should too.
At Oh Baby! and Que Será, we strive to make both stores welcoming, inviting spaces where our design inspirations are given floor space and your design inspirations are given a place to develop (as with our complimentary design studios and entirely customizable bedding in both Que Será and Oh Baby!). It can still be hard, however, to implement those wonderful ideas you might have on your own and actually make them happen in your home.
That’s where this blog comes in. For years, Mary has gotten request after request regarding how she makes those amazing bird mobiles or would go about decorating a nursery for a newborn. And because interacting with our patrons is one of the best things about having Oh Baby! and Que Sera’, we decided to start a blog, a place where we could tell you what’s currently inspiring us, answer some of your questions and generally celebrate living a fantastical life!
